Frequently Asked Questions – Mobile Climbing Activities & Assault Courses

We hope we’ve provided plenty of information on our indoor and outdoor activities, but here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.  If we’ve forgotten something, or if you’d like to know more about us or any of our mobile adrenaline activities,  then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Who can take part?

Extreme Adventure’s activities are a big hit with adults, children, families, individuals, groups, schools and companies. All you need is a little thirst to try something new and to be prepared to challenge yourself – and have fun! However please take into consideration that all our activities are physically demanding.  If you have any concerns about suitability of our activities for anyone with a pre-existing medical condition then please contact us.

Please check the age, height and weight restrictions on the activity’s information page.

As a general rule these are our minimum requirements for climbing activities:

  • Minimum height (adults) –1.1m (3’7”)
  • Minimum height (children)  0.95m (3’1”)
  • Maximum weight –120Kg (19 stone)

Will I be safe?

Before you start any of our activities you will have a safety briefing and, if necessary, you will be issued with safety equipment.  It is important that you pay close attention to the safety briefing and follow the instructions provided by our staff so that you, and everyone taking part in the activity, can enjoy the fun in safety.

Do I need to be fit?

All our activities are probably easier than you think. It is very rare for a person to stop one of our activities because they weren’t fit enough. Please see our minimum height and weight restrictions on the information page for each activity, and get in touch if you have any questions about the suitability of an activity.

But I’m afraid of heights!

Challenging yourself and overcoming your fears is one of the most exhilarating things you can do.   So please don’t worry: All our activities are designed to help you build your confidence as you progress, and our trained staff are always on hand to give advice and encouragement. For this reason it is very rare for someone to leave the course because they are afraid. But rest assured, we do have a special evacuation plan should somebody feel unable to complete a climbing activity.

We can also design bespoke climbing and assault courses by adapting our activities to suit your event audience.  Please contact us to discuss any special requirements.

What should I wear?

The best footwear would be trainers or any ankle supporting shoe. We do not allow shoes with an open toe, sandals or flip flops on any of our activities. We recommend casual clothes such a t-shirt and jeans or shorts. On our Spider Mountain footwear must be removed before entering the activity.

Do I need to book in advance?

All of our outdoor activities are popular from March through to November, and particularly in the summer months. We strongly recommend that you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. We ask for a minimum 50% deposit at the time of booking with the balance due one month before the event date.
